I now have to stoop to watching Goodfellas, one of my favorite all-time movies, on the Lifetime channel. Ugh. The lengths I go to in order to watch Tommy give it to Batts. Go get your shinebox......
I love it when people understand how to have a conversation. Seriously, I do. Sometimes, when what should be happening is conversation, I feel like I'm participating in a contest in which the rules are as follows
1) Someone makes a general statement about some kind of topic
2) The first person to relate the topic to themselves through something that happened to them or someone they know, gets a point.
3)After the first story is over, every person that manages to do the same gets a point until a new topic is introduced.
I don't mean to be overly critical, because I know that I probably talk about myself too much. (Three I's in the last sentence alone!!) Some of the most interesting conversations I've participated in have happened when I'm not the one talking. It's so refreshing to listen to people, and vice versa.
