I was reminiscing at the sign showing how far away half dome was. That was a great hike, and it was a shame we couldn't do it on this trip.
The one lane road we were trying to cross was closed for a while, so we poured out of the cars and sat down for a relaxation.
This was at the top of the hardest hike I've ever been on. The most grueling one, nothing but switchbacks and rock steps. It was soul crushing, especially because people from our group opted out of the hike to spend time at the resort pool down in the Yosemite village. But getting to the top was rewarding.
