Dog Days of March
To borrow from the words of Dave Chappelle to Buc Nasty, What else can be said about me that hasn't already been said about Afghanistan? I feel bombed out, and depleted.....
I worked really hard the last couple week to get ahead. All the extra work seems to have burned me out. The result is that I'm currently giving back what I worked so hard to get.
Oh, and hearing about how schools are either on Spring Break or preparing for Spring Break isn't helping anyone out here stay focused.
In any case, today's game matches the Suns and the Grizzlies. The majority opinion right now is that Sunday's game means that the ship is righted. However, this game is hardly a gimme for two reasons.
1) Suns struggle against young, athletic teams. They've had their hand full recently with the Hawks, Warriors, Nuggets, Jazz, Sixers, all of which boast explosive players that the Suns haven't covered very well. Memphis is no exception with players like Rudy Gay, Hakim Warrick, Mike Conley and Mike Miller.
2) Grizzlies coach Marc Iavaroni spent a few years on the Suns bench as an assistant to Mike D'Antoni. He knows how the Suns want to operate and knows where to exploit their weaknesses.
The Suns need to keep their fresh momentum. They know this. At home, they get the job done tonight.
