If you're a Grizzlies fan, these are the men that you got in return for the bearded, Spanish wonder Pau Gasol. Hopefully the Lakers included a pallet of Pepto to be distributed to Grizzlies season ticket holders for the absolute fleecing they got away with earlier this year.
Does this deal smell funny to anyone else? I find it impossible to believe that there were NO better offers out there for the Spaniard that, according to NBA analysts, can singlehandedly keep Kobe in L.A. and heal sick lambs by performing beard rubs on them.
In any case, the grizzlies came up tiny against the Suns last night, falling behind by 39 points at one point. They did mount a spirited comeback in the fourth quarter.....against Brian Skinner, Linton Johnson, D.J. Strawberry, Sean Marks, and Gordon Giricek. Way too little, way too late.
