Seriously, who wouldn't want a guy like this coaching their team?
In any case, he's gone, and won't be coming back. But he'll always be the coach of the Suns in my mind, and I think a lot of people feel that way. I hoped the usually tepid and lifeless Suns crowd would come to life and give him the homecoming he deserved. Fortunately, they did, but being the pessimist I am, I have to criticize one aspect of the Suns' crowd's performance.
WHY ON EARTH DID THE CHEERING STOP ONCE THE LIGHTS WERE TURNED DOWN?
Why did it not get louder? Unbelievable. Maybe I'm being too critical, but the reporter should not have been able to hear the crowd get quieter once THEIR TEAM started getting introduced.
In any case, I'm sure it was weird for Mike to be on the other side. Different locker room, different bench.
Oh yeah, I'm sure it was weird for Mike to be on the receiving end of this.
And this.
The Suns won, but it was almost a little hollow, when you think that this could still be happening.
