MPA Forms a Soccer Team: Brilliance Ensues

The MPAA, in early January, did the best thing it could have done with its funds. They bought an intramural soccer schedule and signed up as many people as possible for the team. After a brief practice a week before the first game, we took the field, not really knowing what to expect. The following image nicely describes what happened.

We played the role of the team in red, and the other team played the role of the guy in the air. After a 4-0 victory, we were pleased with everyone’s performance, particularly that of our goalie Ariel Lara, pictured below.

We suffered a tough 5-3 defeat in our second match, but we showed flashes of brilliance during the match.

Our next match is on Saturday, February 21st, at 3:45 PM at the indoor practice field. We hope you will all be able to attend and cheer us on. There are few things as exciting as watching Andy Bean and Billy Dalebout fly up the field with the ball, as watching Ariel Lara make an incredible save, and as watching Mellissa Garcia and Oumar Traore fearlessly challenge an attacking player for possession. Things are happening on the field that are worth watching. We hope you all take part in the fun.

Saturday, February 21st; 3:45 PM; indoor practice field.

Awesome
